Roter Su

Lecturer in BA Film and Moving Image Production, Subject Leader of MA Moving Image and Sound

Roter is a filmmaker, who is interested in any type of storytelling in Moving Image and Sound. He specialises in documentary making and employs the approach to investigate and examine the identity in diaspora, particularly liminal cultural and national status. Juxtaposing the theories of Postcolonialism and Postmodernism, he aims to examine and study the contributors’ representations who generate a new (hybrid) identity in their everyday diasporic life.

Currently, Roter is working on the discovery of the performing identity from athletes, acrobats and circus perfomers.
